Chief Research and Innovation Officer at Lakeshore Foundation

As the Chief Research and Innovation Officer at Lakeshore Foundation, Amy Rauworth is a leader in physical activity, advocacy and research who works with the disabled community and individuals with chronic health conditions. Her efforts are concentrated on partnerships that prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion. Amy leads the sports science research and innovation efforts, community health, and advocacy and policy work at Lakeshore Foundation.

Since 2003, she has served within the National Center on Health, Physical Activity and Disability (NCHPAD). She is a clinical exercise physiologist by training and has over 25 years of experience in public health practice including state, national and international efforts. On a national level, she serves on the Physical Activity Alliance Board of Directors, and locally, with Alabama Trails Commission, Red Mountain Park Board, Ruffner Mountain Board, and Innovate Alabama’s Outdoor Recreation Advisory Roundtable.
