Associate Vice President, Strategy and Business Development and Associate Chief Innovation Officer, UAB Health System

Melissa Mancini has more than 15 years of healthcare strategy and innovation experience and has served UAB Health System in various roles since 2005. In addition to her work in the clinical arena, she has also worked closely with the UAB School of Health Professions as a course instructor, member of the admissions board, and mentor/preceptor for the Master of Science in Health Administration program. Outside of work, Melissa is active in the community and has volunteered with a number of local and national organizations in the areas of health promotion, animal advocacy, cultural preservation, and academic enrichment. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from Florida State University and a Master of Science in Health Administration from The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
